2) Install HP Deskjet 3745 driver using INF driver
In the download link above, we have provided the HP Deskjet 3745 Series INF driver, and now we will walk you through its installation process. The installation steps below are for the Windows 10 operating system, but you can use the same steps for other Windows operating systems as well.
- Download the original INF driver zip file from the above section, download and extract its contents in a folder. Type the address of the location of this driver folder, which you will need later.
- Look for “Printers” in the search box and choose “Printers and Scanners” from the search results.
- Click the “Plus” sign in front of “Add Printer or Scanner”.
- Click on the “Printer I do not want to list” option.
- Choose the option “Add a local printer or a network printer with manual settings” and click the “Next” button.
- Choose the port where the printer is connected and click “Next”.
- Click on “Have Disk”.
- Now copy and paste the “INF driver folder location address” from step 1, then click “OK”.
- From the list of printers, choose the name closest to your printer model. We chose the “HP Deskjet 3740 Series” because the 3745 was not available. Then click on “Next”.
- Change the printer name to “HP Deskjet 3745 Printer”. Then click on “Next”. Don’t be confused with the model number of the HP Deskjet 3740, as the 3740 is the main series printer in this series, so the 3740 Driver will also work on the 3745 printers. Both have the same motherboard.
- Please wait while the driver is installed.
- Provide details or choose the “Do not share this printer” option to share the printer over the network. Then click on “Next”.
- Click “Finish” to finish.
- There you have it, you have successfully installed your HP printer driver.

This HP printer uses a black ink cartridge (C8727AN) and a tri-color ink cartridge (C8728AN), yielding 240 pages and 220 pages, respectively.
